![]() The Kansas Center for the Book exists to highlight the state’s literary heritage and foster an interest in books, reading, and libraries. The Kansas Center for the Book is a program at the State Library of Kansas and the state affiliate of the Library of Congress Center for the Book. Kansas Notable Books is a project of the Kansas Center for the Book. Since then more than 200 books have been recognized for their contribution to Kansas literary heritage. Yesterday say popular note-taking app Notability switch to a freemium model, making the app free with an annual subscription unlocking additional features.Developer Ginger Labs confirmed at the time that people who already bought Notability would be able to use those features for a year before being forced to join the subscription offering. ![]() In 2006, the first Kansas Notable Books list was announced. Please consider supporting Independent Kansas book stores:Ī committee of librarians, academics, and historians nominated titles from a list of eligible books, and state librarian Eric Norris selected the final list. Check the Grants & Purchasing tab for more information. Once again, the State Library will offer a grant opportunity to Kansas libraries for reimbursement of the purchase of books from the Notable Books list. The titles, written by Kansans or highlighting a Kansas-related topic, reflect the rich cultural heritage of Kansas.
